Dining Hall
$ 2,500,000 1 opportunity
Designed in the style of a timbered, Elizabethan banqueting hall, the JE dining hall is a place for students, fellows, the dean, and master to share meals and hold formal gatherings. Originally constructed in an era of waiters, and then reconfigured many years later for self-service, the dining hall will undergo major modifications during the renovation. At present, servery equipment is located inside the dining hall. The renovation will move nearby kitchen operations into the basement, making room for a separate servery. This reconfiguration will restore the hall to its original plan and make it easy for residents to select from a variety of fresh, healthy, and diverse meals before making their way back to their tables.
