Dining Hall

$ 2,500,000   1 opportunity

Contrasting the dark, wood-paneled walls of the adjacent common room, Trumbull’s dining hall features bright stone walls, a lofted ceiling, tall lancet windows arranged in triplicate, and five distinct archways along the side wall. The hall’s architectural elegance offers an ideal setting for students, fellows, the dean, and master to share meals and hold formal gatherings. Originally constructed in the era of waiters, and then reconfigured many years later for self-service dining, the dining hall underwent major modifications during the renovation. The modifications moved all kitchen operation into the basement, capturing space for a separate servery. These changed restored the hall to its original plan, and now residents can choose from a wide selection of healthy eating options in the servery before returning to their tables to eat.
