Faculty Fellowship for Non-Tenured School of Public Health Faculty

$ 1,500,000   6 opportunities

Junior faculty play a critical role in the intellectual life of the School of Public Health. They bring new ideas, fresh approaches to research and teaching, and the energy and excitement one would want and expect from emerging public health academic leaders. However, they often lack the basic support to do the preliminary research necessary to receive federal funding, a significant source for moving from ideas to discovery. Endowed gifts to support these positions help the School recruit from among the most promising newer faculty and ensure that it will have a cadre of faculty to provide tomorrow’s cutting edge scholarship, teaching, and community engagement. We seek to support fellowships in genomics, reducing disparities in health care, global health, chronic disease epidemiology and prevention, reducing environmental threats to health, and health policy and management.
