Center for British Art Exhibition Fund
$ 100,000 50 opportunities
The Yale Center for British Art has planned an exciting, ambitious, and varied exhibitions program for the next five years and beyond. To present major international loan exhibitions that are not only aesthetically compelling but also intellectually rigorous, the center follows an exacting process of exhibition planning and development that brings together world-class experts, including the center’s curatorial and research staff. Together, these teams work to determine the content of a show, its corresponding publications, and its attendant programming.
Endowed funds would support the research and development stage of exhibition planning, as well as logistical aspects of organizing a major international loan exhibition. Endowment funds are also sought to support the research and development of smaller exhibitions relating to the center’s permanent collection. As part of Yale classes and seminars, faculty and students often collaborate with curators to organize such exhibitions. Named funds to support research and development of exhibitions start at $250,000 for international loan exhibitions. Named funds to support exhibitions organized by Yale faculty and students start at $100,000.
