Immunologic Disease Research Fund

$ 100,000   200 opportunities

Our understanding of the immune system has grown in recent years, providing researchers an increased understanding of its role in disease. Yale has an outstanding Immunobiology Department that is focused on basic mechanisms of immunology as well as how these mechanisms relate to disease. This strong foundation will permit Yale to focus its research on how the immune system can be mobilized to fight diseases such as cancer and infection, and how to control the immune system when it mistakenly attacks a patient’s organs and tissues in autoimmune diseases such as arthritis, Crohn’s, and diabetes mellitus.
