Residential College Renovations
Multiple opportunities
The Yale campus, with its tradition of great architecture and well-equipped facilities, is a worthy platform for the work of faculty and students. Nowhere is this more evident than in Yale’s beloved residential colleges. Begun in 1989, a program to rebuild the colleges has brought new energy to campus and has set the standard for undergraduate life nationwide. More than dormitories, the colleges participate in the academic programs of Yale College, encourage social exchange, and sustain a rich extracurricular life from athletics to the arts. The renovations preserve the architectural beauty of the colleges, while updating the facilities for contemporary education. Completion of this program remains a core objective for the University. In particular, the University is seeking funds to support the renovations of Davenport, Trumbull, Silliman, Jonathan Edwards, Calhoun, Ezra Stiles, and Morse.
