Urban Resources Initiative

$ 50,000   5 opportunities

Located in the Hixon Center for Urban Ecology, URI is a not-for-profit university partnership to foster community-based land stewardship, promote environmental education, and advance the practice of urban forestry. Its motivating principle is simple: healthy environments make healthy communities, and vice versa. URI addresses concerns in the New Haven community and provides extraordinary clinical experiences for Yale students at the graduate and undergraduate level. Current-use funding is critically needed to support ongoing program and research costs, as well as to hire ten interns each summer for the Greenspace program.
