The MacMillan Center is renowned for convening conferences, symposia, lectures and workshops to bring to Yale the wide range of perspectives relevant to its inquiries. Face-to-face conversations are necessary components of the complete exchange of ideas, but funding for such initiatives is in great demand. Similarly, the center’s Working Paper Series, which publishes the results of faculty and student research for the benefit of those inside and outside the Yale community, is underfunded. Donors who establish a conference and publication fund may state a preference for specific issues, areas of the world, or audiences.
