The Director of Yale University Health Services (YUHS) oversees clinical services for undergraduate, graduate, and professional students, as well as the seventy-five percent of Yale employees enrolled in the Yale Health Plan (YHP) to obtain health care and insurance coverage for themselves and their dependents. The director has overall responsibility for the quality of clinical care and service, as well major innovations and initiatives like Electronic Health Record implementation, new facility planning, maintenance of accreditation by the Joint Commission of Accreditation of Health Care Organizations (JCAHO), and emergency preparedness.
