Library Archivist

$ 2,000,000   Multiple opportunities

Archivists at the Yale University Library have a central place in the scholarly life of the university. They are responsible for maintaining and documenting material of enduring historical value, including the papers of great artists, writers, intellectuals, and politicians. In addition, Yale archivists are the custodians of the historical records of organizations, including Yale University. The library seeks to endow three archivist positions (research archivist, digital archivist, and curator of architectural archives), to ensure that Yale University can continue to attract preeminent archival collections for use by its students, faculty, and scholars worldwide. A gift of $2,000,000 will establish a permanent endowment to be named according to the donor’s preference for recognition.
