International Enhancement Fund - Graduate School

$ 100,000   20 opportunities

As a global university, Yale emphasizes international programs and recruitment of international students. The Graduate School is central to this mission. It admits the highest proportion of international scholars in the university, and a significant portion of research and scholarly work carried on in graduate education addresses global issues and themes.

Endowment of an International Enhancement Fund would provide a permanent source of support for two important aspects of the School’s global mission. While international students receive the same level of fellowship funding as other students, they often face additional expenses that native students do not require: international travel, acquisition of language skills, family care, and others. These expenses would be funded through grants from the International Enhancement Fund. In addition, the fund would underwrite efforts to develop and sustain an international emphasis in departments and disciplines, including enhanced funding and special research grants.
