The Center for Language Study works with faculty and graduate students across the College to develop Language across the Curriculum (LxC) sections in a variety of disciplines. These sections are taught in a particular language, enabling students to read, speak and write at advanced levels. The sections help undergraduates improve their language skills while also strengthening the ability of graduate students to incorporate language pedagogy into their teaching. A gift of $150,000 will provide support for one teaching section, while a gift of $5,000,000 will create an endowment to provide in perpetuity support for thirty-two or more LxC sections annually.
