"Welcome to Yale" Fund for International Students

$ 1,000,000   1 opportunity

While the goals for international Yale undergraduates are in many ways no different than those for all our students, international students have needs, requirements, and challenges that differ from the majority of U.S. students, including adherence to U.S. immigration regulations, unfamiliarity with U.S. culture and system of higher education, and the initial absence of a support network. Providing orientation programming to all new international students is a critical factor in their successful adaptation to life at Yale. This endowment will fund preorientation and freshman year activities for international undergraduates, will build a family host program, and will provide other opportunities.
