The Office of International Students and Scholars (OISS) is responsible for the general welfare of Yale’s international students, approximately 450 undergraduates representing more than 100 countries. OISS also serves as a resource on immigration matters for the Yale community and is Yale’s liaison to those federal agencies concerned with international students. The staff assists with problems concerning social and personal adjustment to life in the United States and other personal matters. This gift will provide support for international student activities, financial aid, operating support for the administrative functions of OISS—both current and future—and expansion of the scope of OISS.
