Director of the Peking University-Yale University Joint Undergraduate Program

$ 2,000,000   1 opportunity

The Peking University-Yale Joint Undergraduate program began in fall 2006 at Peking University (PKU) with Yale undergraduates from multiple majors and PKU Yuanpei Honors program students. Yale and PKU faculty teach a varied curriculum entirely in English, except for required Chinese language courses. All courses receive Yale College credit, and financial aid can be applied. Yale and PKU participants live together in a new residence hall.

A gift to endow the program directorship will help defray the salary, benefits, and other expenses associated with this key position. Should this program end, the directorship would be used for a similar leadership position. This permanent named fund also honors the incumbent and affirms the importance of the appointment.
