Undergraduate International Summer Award Program Fund

$ 10,000,000   5 opportunities

The International Summer Award (ISA) program makes it possible for every undergraduate who receives term-time financial aid to participate in one Yale-approved summer opportunity abroad. This endowment will fund a named ISA program for up to 100 recipients each year. These fellowships will be organized around a region, a language, a discipline, or a particular type of experience. The ISA provides the summer income contribution expected of students on financial aid for those participating in Yale-administered summer international activities. In addition, a percentage of program expenses, based on level of need, are awarded to students participating in four programs: international internships, Yale summer session study abroad, Yale-in-London study abroad, and certain study and research abroad fellowships administered by the International Education and Fellowship Program.
