Senior Lectorship Undergraduate Language Instruction

Exceptionally qualified and experienced language faculty, senior lectors are appointed for terms of three or more years. In addition to providing permanent support for the current needs of this position, this fund will permit the senior lector to take time from regular teaching duties to spend summers developing new teaching materials and curricula and conducting pedagogical research essential to successful implementation of the new CYCE language recommendations. A gift of $2,000,000 will create a permanent named endowment supporting one senior lector in language teaching. A gift of $10,000,000 will endow the Senior Lector Program, establishing a permanent named endowment supporting up to five senior lectors.
