The Center for Language Study serves as the focal point for university-wide language learning at Yale. This gift will name and endow the Yale Center for Language Study, which was initiated through grants now coming to an end. A gift of $25,000,000 will create an endowment to cover the current and expanded operations of the center, including development of new language courses, innovation in language teaching, further development of a cadre of superb and committed language instructors, support for Language across the Curriculum teaching fellows, and operating costs for expanded administrative support.
