The Yale College Writing Center helps faculty rethink the writing components of their courses. Whatever the discipline, workshops, visiting experts, and consulting services help faculty make their own expertise as writers and scholars a more effective part of their teaching. A gift of $500,000 will create an endowment to support course innovation grants for faculty as they design new courses that teach writing or for substantial redesign of existing courses. A gift of $2,000,000 will endow the Writing Course Development Program and help to maintain a constant level of writing course renewal and improvement.
