Writing Program for International Students

Providing more focused support to Yale’s increasingly diverse and international student population, this program will be led by a tutoring director with expertise in English as a Second Language (ESL) and bilingual student learning. As ESL specialist, he or she will also offer non-credit seminars to teach international students the rhetoric and conventions of the American college essay and research paper. A gift to endow this program will provide permanent support for writing and for Yale’s international initiatives.
