Center for the Study of Globalization
$ 100,000 Multiple opportunities
The Yale Center for the Study of Globalization (YCSG) examines the impact of our increasingly integrated world on individuals, communities and nations. The center seeks to enrich the debate about globalization on campus and to promote the flow of ideas between academia and the policy world. A main goal is to understand the institutions and policies needed to enhance globalization as a force for good, particularly to enable the world’s poorest and weakest peoples to benefit from its opportunities. YCSG connects Yale and its community of scholars with the world of public policy, on the one hand participating in collaborative international initiatives and partnerships and on the other, bringing to campus distinguished scholars and practitioners of international affairs. The center focuses on core issues that include global peace and security, international cooperation, global trade reform, economic growth and development, protecting shared environmental resources, and global health. The Center’s online magazine, YaleGlobal (www.yaleglobal.yale.edu), analyzes and promotes debate on all aspects of globalization. YCSG seeks funding to continue and enhance its work and to increase the international impact of these endeavors. Gifts to the YCSG include support for programs, lectures, collaborative international initiatives, conferences, workshops, distinguished visitors, publications, research, and YaleGlobal Online.
