Hendrie Hall Renovation

Multiple opportunities
The renovation of Hendrie Hall will create individual practice rooms and faculty studios, as well as chamber music and large ensemble rehearsal spaces, for both graduate and undergraduate students. Built in 1895 by Cady, Berg, & See as a home for the Yale Law School, Hendrie Hall now houses many of Yale’s large musical ensembles in the heart of Yale’s campus. Plans for the renovation, designed by architectural firm Kuwabara Payne McKenna & Blumberg, call for a large addition, as well as a much-needed music student commons that will provide an informal gathering space for musicians from all parts of the University. Spaces throughout Hendrie Hall provide numerous opportunities to recognize leadership support of its transformation and preservation.
