A critical element of effective leadership is the ability to respond quickly to new opportunities. The dean’s resource fund will provide funds that the dean can direct where she or he thinks they are most needed. For example, funds from this permanent endowment may help us host a speaker with news of an exciting breakthrough, support student requests, help a faculty member with research costs, or support a partnership with a community group.
