The ultimate success of the Yale SOM program lies in its ability to attract the best students. But program excellence and Yale’s strong reputation are not enough: in the highly competitive MBA market, scholarships have become an important tool for engaging outstanding applicants and making it possible for them to choose SOM over their other MBA options. The School must have available financial resources to provide generously for the students it admits. Endowed gifts for merit scholarships allow the School to engage the most selective students by providing for the rising costs of tuition, international experience, and opportunities for full participation in professional development activities.
