One of the ways Yale SOM adds diversity to the curriculum is through the use of visiting faculty. Yale SOM invites outstanding faculty members from other institutions to visit the School every year, and this exchange produces new dialogue, collaborative work, and fresh insight into current issues in management education. Visiting scholars might teach classes or present working papers at campus colloquia, as they participate in the intellectual life of the SOM campus community. Students and faculty alike benefit, and the relationships that form during these visits often become continuing, mutually enhancing partnerships. Endowed gifts to support these positions allow Yale SOM to recruit exceptional leaders and fund their full participation in the School’s activities.
