School of Music Alumni Fund

Gifts to the Alumni Fund provide vital and immediate support for the School of Music’s most pressing needs. Unlike restricted endowment funds, which can be used only for limited purposes, Alumni Fund gifts can be used anywhere to address opportunities and meet needs as they arise. Unrestricted contributions alleviate our students’ financial burdens when they travel to important auditions and attend international competitions. The gifts also allow the School of Music to fund master classes and acquire fine instruments. The Alumni Fund offsets the financial burden of professional study at Yale, and makes it possible for students to participate in important musical activities off-campus and internationally. All gifts to the Alumni Fund count equally toward participation, an important expression of committment to today’s students.
