Yale College International Major Program Fund
$ 1,000,000 5 opportunities
The MacMillan Center’s undergraduate majors are at the core of interdisciplinary teaching in Yale College. The center’s six international undergraduate majors (East Asian Studies, African Studies, International Studies, Russian and East European Studies, Latin American Studies, and Ethnicity, Race and Migration) currently register more than 150 students. The International Studies major, if it stood alone, would be the third largest major in Yale College. Courses in each major are developed from the relevant Faculty of Arts & Sciences department. Endowment support would significantly strengthen the undergraduate majors, and would serve to develop new academic resources at the boundaries of the disciplines. Enhancements could provide new courses, supplemental field study opportunities, and humanities courses taught in foreign languages, among others.
