The Whitney Humanities Center is an interdisciplinary institution designed to enable and enhance research, thinking, and scholarly exchange in all fields of the humanities. The Whitney offers distinguished scholars and students a rich and exciting opportunity for collaborative activities and debate. As a way of augmenting these exchanges and stimulating new dialogue, Yale invites eminent scholars from outside the University to engage in the work of the Whitney. A gift of $100,000 to establish a named Visiting Scholars and Artists Endowment will ensure the continued participation of these distinguished guests.
