Art Gallery Acquisitions and Collection Stewardship Fund

To remain vital, the gallery’s collection grows and develops through regular and judicious purchases. The departments of African Art, American Paintings and Sculpture, American Decorative Arts, Asian Art, and Early European Art will benefit from an active acquisitions program supported by endowment. Because the gallery is particularly concerned with the ongoing care of its objects, acquisition endowments will be established with 80% of available funds designated for purchases and 20% designated as a reserve for conservation and collections care. Named funds begin at $100,000, and can be directed toward a specific area of interest.
