Yale University Art Gallery Facilities Renovation

Art Gallery

$ 40,000,000

Yale University Art Gallery houses its extensive collections and programs in a facility composed of several adjoining structures built between 1866 and 1976. Now, a multi-year, multi-phase construction project is renovating the gallery, its classrooms, conservation laboratories, and public exhibition spaces. The work reflects the importance of the gallery as a teaching museum and as a repository of extraordinary collections from around the world.

Upon the completion of the gallery’s Louis I. Kahn building, Yale will renovate the Swartwout building and Street Hall. To continue this work, the University seeks capital gifts totaling $40,000,000; naming opportunities exist within the buildings beginning at $1,000,000.
