Top faculty play a dual role as inspiring teachers and world-class researchers, and they are absolutely vital to attracting, retaining, and educating the best engineering students. Now, as the School of Engineering & Applied Science grows and expands its capabilities in the emerging areas of biomedical engineering, environmental engineering, and nanotechnology, new faculty positions are required. The School aims to recruit ten outstanding scholars who can meet Yale’s high standard, work collaboratively, and expand the research portfolio of the University across science, medicine, and engineering. Endowed professorships exist in perpetuity and provide lasting recognition of whomever the donor chooses to honor. The cost to endow a new faculty position is $5,000,000.
