Postdoctoral Fellowship - Whitney Humanities Center

$ 1,500,000   2 opportunities

The Whitney Humanities Center postdoctoral fellowships offer scholars an opportunity to deepen their study of the humanities. Recipients of the two-year fellowship divide their time between independent research and teaching in Directed Studies—Yale’s interdisciplinary program in western civilization for freshmen. Fellowships offer extensive opportunities for mentoring relationships with Yale faculty and for intellectual exchanges among other postdoctoral fellows, faculty, and visitors connected with the Whitney Humanities Center. A gift of $1,500,000 will create a named endowment to support a postdoctoral fellow at the Whitney, providing salary, benefits, and a research and travel allowance.
