The Whitney Humanities Center at Yale is dedicated to promoting and sustaining the liberal arts. This internationally renowned organization provides a forum for scholars, fellows, and guest lecturers to engage in interdisciplinary programs designed to enrich intellectual life at Yale. In addition to supporting the Humanities as a cornerstone of undergraduate education, the Whitney encourages dialogue between the arts and sciences. A gift of $4,000,000 would fully endow the Director’s Fund and will increase the Whitney’s ability to host a greater variety of the lectures, symposia, exhibitions, poetry readings, theatrical productions, and film screenings for which it is celebrated.
