Graduate students play a critical role in making new discoveries. They participate in Yale’s most innovative labs and generate novel ideas of their own. Admitting more of the best graduate students has a direct impact on the scope and quality of research. To this end, Yale seeks to establish new fellowship funds to support graduate students conducting biomedical research on West Campus. Since the number of students admitted to study and conduct research in the life sciences is limited primarily by funding, endowed graduate fellowships position Yale strategically to draw the best and brightest students to West Campus institutes.
