Yale is establishing research institutes at the West Campus to foster collaboration and build on the combined experience of faculty in a wide range of disciplines. Along with biomedical institutes, the West Campus and its facilities will also support a range of activities in connection with the arts and University collections. Modern conference facilities will play a crucial role in supporting the open exchange of ideas and techniques, through events, gatherings, and symposia that bring the world’s most distinguished scholars to Yale. The Conference Center features not only a large auditorium, which seats 250 and is equipped with the latest audio/visual and lighting systems, but also a library, a large cafeteria, an executive conference room, and a teleconferencing room. The Center provides an ideal setting for a range of events – from those focused on coordinating the immediate work of the institutes, facilities, and Yale collections to those intended to engage a broader audience in the discoveries emerging from West Campus research.
