The future home of the Institute for Chemical Biology and the Chemical Screening Core, this state-of-the-art West Campus research facility supports a full range of medicinal and combinatorial chemistry research activities. With fully equipped work spaces spread over three floors of laboratory space, researchers will be able to perform the most advanced experimentation in medicinal and analytical chemistry, including mass spectroscopy and nuclear magnetic resonance imaging, as well as the production of compounds in kilogram quantities. Benches outfitted with twelve foot fume hoods are designed to accommodate the most sophisticated projects and support the most advanced techniques in chemistry research. Its location among the four other research facilities will allow scientists to engage in multi-disciplinary research and enable the core facility and institute housed in this building to overlap with activities in the neighboring institutes.
