Funding to finance innovative research is critical to ensuring Yale Engineering is at the forefront of discovery and progress. With the School engaged in interdisciplinary collaborations in new areas of research—such as physical and engineering biology, environmental engineering, and nanoscience—ground-breaking research ideas are constantly emerging. Such pioneering research, however, needs seed money to demonstrate the research potentials and leverage larger grants from traditional funding sources. The School seeks to raise $10,000,000 through gifts of $100,000 or more to provide endowed funds for novel research to form the basis of scientific and technological advances with impacts lasting far into the future.
