The Yale School of Drama seeks substantial new endowment to support financial aid. Currently, eighty-seven percent of our enrolled students receive financial aid in the form of work-study, loans, and scholarships. The average combined debt for our students from their undergraduate and graduate education is $60,712, a significant amount in a field where starting salaries are uncertain. New endowed scholarships will help reduce our students’ debt load and allow the School to maintain its preeminence by enrolling the most talented theatre artists regardless of financial need.
