Divinity Scholarship

$ 50,000   25 opportunities

To attract the most promising students, YDS must present financial aid packages that compare favorably with offers made by competing institutions. Now, the School has launched a major effort to boost funding for scholarship aid. In addition to supporting financial aid generally, new endowments will create special named scholarships directed toward international students, students in supervised ministries internships, and students worthy of awards that are given solely on the basis of merit. Scholarship aid is particularly critical for seminary graduates—they frequently enter professions where wages are relatively low and find it difficult to repay loans following graduation. YDS aims to increase the proportion of tuition costs covered by scholarships from 65 percent to 75 percent. The School has identified increased financial aid as its top campaign goal.
