Visiting Professorship in Architecture

$ 3,000,000   2 opportunities

The hallmark of the Yale School of Architecture is teaching students to think rather than to follow a particular style or the latest trend in architecture. The long-standing system of supplementing regular faculty with visiting professors opens the School’s pedagogy up to the cross-currents of ideas and ideologies in current practice, bringing together the most creative people to tackle problems in architecture and related fields studied from the perspective of an architect. In particular, issues of landscape and the environment are essential complements to architectural design as architects prepare to face global challenges. The establishment of an endowed full-year visiting professorship in landscape architecture and an endowed full-year visiting professorship in environmental studies will enrich courses offered at Yale College and in the School.
