The final step in the translation of new knowledge from research to the care of patients is the establishment and expansion of a superior clinical practice. Yale School of Medicine has outstanding faculty members who are excellent physicians and provide state-of-the-art care to their patients. In collaboration with Yale-New Haven Hospital, we have a vision to expand this to a dimension that has not been realized at any medical school.

Centers of excellence in clinical care will be associated with centers of excellence in clinical and basic research, ensuring that patients have access to the latest in medical advances. These centers will be characterized by state-of-the-art care provided by the nation’s leading physicians. To accomplish this we will need funds to support physician recruitment and the establishment of world-class multidisciplinary programs.
